Yes yes yes. I am one happy girl because I was finally able to watch Rent the Movie. I mean, though it may not be as fascinating and sweet as watching it live in Broadway, it was really great. I was in awe, and in the zone. Hahaha, whatever that means. Kept getting goosebumps everytime Seasons of Love was being played and was holding back tears when Angel died. Yeaahh. I love it. And love it because mah nigga Juico was with me! We were such foos! Yeah.

Haay. Can't get over it. It was awesome. And even though the film stopped somewhere at the middle because of some bullshit technical problem, it didn't fail to put me in a trance. The film is really great, though I really can't compare it to the play. But I am sure the play is a lot better. I love how it was so old school, being set in the late 80s and early 90s . And it being a musical even captivated me more. The songs are just beautiful. A really modern twist to musicals. It showed the dirty side of America, particularly glittering New York, in a very beautiful way. It centered on the bohemian artist types of people of Avenue A, how they lived their lives working dirty jobs, struggling to earn money, and trying to live everyday as fulfilling as possible knowing that for some of them, AIDS and addiction to drugs would eat them eventually. These people chose to follow their passion and were not afraid to love. They showed hope and how we can hang on that little thread whenever we are faced with something we think we cannot bear to experience. It really makes us think how people at the other side of the world have very different lifestyles from us, but in the end having the same purpose and meaning as the ones we have.

The bottom line is, live life as if there's no tomorrow. Yeah, that's some kinda hard to do, but we're going to try right? Yes, la vie boheme! And!!! To Jonathan Larson, you totally rock! Your musical is really something, winning Tony's and a Pulitzer Prize. Yeah. (It was just bad that you died before seeing the opening of your own musical. But I bet you're watching it from...somewhere. ) And to the one who made this musical as a movie, thank you! Someone Columbus. Hahaha! At least those who can't watch it in Broadway can watch it now. Wala lang. Astigins talaga.

And!! I just learned something today from PDI. The cast in the movie is also the original cast that was in the musical (Well except for Mimi and Joanne..). Shit. Awesome mehn. I love it love it.
